Ministry Of Environment Announces Draft Environmental Management Bill For Chemicals

The Ministry recently issued guidance on the draft environmental management bill for new chemicals.
The environmental pollution control division said it would welcome the draft guidance before July 1st.
The bill will come into effect in October, with some new developments.

Management methods have changed, such as the classification and labelling of chemicals under the United Nations global coordination system (GHS), and the introduction of a number of new highly toxic, persistent and bioaccumulative substances.

A system based on capacity and low risk relief materials is also introduced.
But at the same time, it needs more late market communication and standardized measures for risk management of most hazardous chemicals.
China's Ministry of environment has issued six guidance documents covering the general requirements of the new legislation, new testing arrangements, new procedures, simplified forms application procedures, and data requirements, report formats and related guidance in the first chemical report.
