In the 7-5 months of fiscal year 2009-10, Pakistan's textile exports amounted to US $9 billion 324 million, contributing 53% to the total export revenue of US $17 billion 600 million.


The other main contribution industries were manufacturing groups, accounting for 19.21%, exports amounted to US $3 billion 381 million, followed by the food industry, accounting for 17%, exports amounted to $2 billion 992 million, oil and coal accounted for 5.06%, exports amounted to 890 million 629 thousand US dollars, other miscellaneous contributions contributed 5.74%, and exports amounted to US $1 billion 10 million, the Federal Statistical Office of Pakistan said.
