The Ministry of Finance and the State Administration of Taxation jointly issued a notice in December 30th to operate 125 cable digital TV stations in Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Heilongjiang, Jiangsu, Anhui, Hunan, Shenzhen, Chongqing, Sichuan and Yunnan provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government).

To promote the development of cable digital TV, in accordance with the spirit of the State Council, the basic maintenance fee of cable digital TV, which is charged by the enterprises listed in the annex of this circular according to the relevant documents of the provincial price department, shall be exempted from business tax within 3 years starting from January 1, 2010.

These enterprises include Shenzhen Tianbao radio and television Network Inc, China Guangzhou Cable Information Network Co., Ltd. Nantong branch, Chongqing radio and Television Information Network Co., Ltd., a total of 125.
