Most companies say that the reason for entering the Kaesong industrial park is that they can save labour. The biggest worry for them is the unease caused by the deterioration of the North South relations.

Mr. Pu, a member of the Democratic Party, surveyed 76 enterprises in the Kaesong industrial park during the two days of last month 29 and 30 days. 63.2% of the answers were labor saving, 22.4% of the domestic business deterioration, and another was foreign investment (7.9%).

When asked about the challenges and fears faced by enterprises, 34.5% of the enterprises chose to deteriorate North South relations, 28.9% of them had difficulty in choosing three links (pportation, customs and communications), 17.1% of the financial industry and 17.1% of human resources procurement.

In particular, 60.3% of the companies are not satisfied with the financial support for the government of the Kaesong industrial park, 3.9% of them feel satisfied, and another 35.5% feel "normal".

Mr Pu said, "the government should pay attention to various problems raised by enterprises at different stages. It is better for the Lee Myung-bak administration to solve the problems faced by small and medium-sized enterprises first of all."
