Vietnam'S Textile And Clothing Exports Increased Substantially In January, And Exports Amounted To 369-402 Billion Dollars In 2019.

According to the situation provided by the Vietnam cotton yarn Association, Vietnam imported 139 thousand tons of cotton and 260 million US dollars in imports in January this year, up 17.7% and 14.4% respectively, down 3.2% and 3.3% respectively from the same period last year.

In January 2019, Vietnam's imports of cotton yarn amounted to 93 thousand tons, with an import volume of US $210 million, an increase of 4.8% and 1.6% respectively, up 4.8% and 7.1% respectively over the same period last year.

In January 2019, the export volume of Vietnam's cotton yarn was 138 thousand and 800 tons, and the export volume was 355 million US dollars, the growth rate was 4.9% and 2%, respectively, up 12.2% and 6.5% respectively.

Exports of textiles and clothing amounted to US $3 billion 294 million, an increase of 19% over the same period, an increase of 32.6% over the same period last year.

In 2018, Vietnam's textile and clothing exports reached 36 billion 900 million US dollars, up 15.86% over the same period last year, exceeding the original plan of US $1 billion 690 million, ranking the top three in the world before textile and clothing exports, second only to China and India.

In 2018, Vietnam imported 40% of its garments and accessories from China, with an import volume of US $8 billion 950 million, an increase of 18.8% over the same period last year.

In 2019, Vietnam's textile and clothing exports will continue to grow by 8-10%, reaching 369-402 billion US dollars.
